This past weekend we had out family reunion... It was the redneck games this year, each year we have a theme... It was super fun and everyone had a blast. We have it every year at a campground and ppl come from all over. Its a Friday to Sunday sort of thing with games and a pot luck on the Saturday as well as a campfire get together on the Friday and Satursday night :) I have a wonderful LARGE family :) But they are a bunch of fun!
As for how I have been feeling, a lot better mentally... physically I have been feeling a little blah, a little tired, but I think I am overcoming that bit by bit. I got some new Turbo Jam DVDS which I am super excited to try out although they were super pricey haha But Chalene sure knows how to kick ur butt into shape and I need all the help I can get... My goal is to do them THREE mornings next week! I believe I love sleep too much, but I gotta start waking up earlier thats for sure!! :) Plus when I workout in the morning I feel SO much better throughout the day!
On average my bodybugg has been calculating that on an inactive day I will burn on avergae about 2800 calories. On a very active day (like my Family Reunion on Saturday where I didnt work out but I was on my feet all day and playing games and having a hoot) I burn nearly 4500 calories!! CRAZINESS!! Just goes to show ya that sitting at my desk all day for work is NOT healthy and that I need to get moving more, every little bit counts and helps!
As for eating I have been fairly good with counting my calories, I am not getting nearly enough water though thats for sure! So I am going to work on that. I am also trying to incorporate more veggies into my diet. Last night we were over at a friends place for dinner and he made a salad, ribs, and rice with a stirfry.. it was DELICIOUS and just made me realize that I am NOT eating enough veggies but I actually liked the taste of them when cooked right lol
On a metal update :) I am reading my last book of the series of books I am reading. They are more geared towards a younger age group, but I am loving them. It is yet another vampire series that involves love, blood lust, etc. etc.... oh my and my obsession with Twilight :P I have always had this thing for vampires (movies, books, etc.) but these are kick butt.. I then got ANOTHER series of books (well the first of the series) from my beautiful step-mom for my birthday so I am super excited to get to those. I find that reading, regardless of what it is fictional or not, it makes me happy and is a total stress reliever. I have made it a routine to read as much as I possibly can right before I go to sleep and I find it even helps me sleep better and I dont want to fall asleep without reading regardless how tired I am :) I'm really liking it though :)
Anyways, there is my update! :) I will be back around soon. Take care everyone!
xx Brooke
